Custom Urban Dictionary two-tone mug

The mugs are the perfect size. Not too small, and not massive. Big enough to enjoy a nice hot cup of joe.

The printing was a little smudged, and it could be better quality, but it works out ok.

Since this was a birthday present designed for and sent to someone on another continent, I can't speak to the physical quality, other than to report what the recipient of the gift has reported, and that was that the physical quality was adequate in all respects (durability, design, graphics, suitability, etc.). From the perspective of the designer (myself), I have to say that designing this mug was a lot of fun. I was looking for something off-beat as a birthday present for my dad, and I recognized the opportunity in the Urban Dictionary (damn them for rejecting one of my entry submissions some time back). I knew right away that this approach to a gift offered enough opportunity for personalization (without it absorbing an extraordinary amount of time) that it would be received by my dad as more than just the obligatory token birthday gesture but rather, that it would assume a singular role as object representing the bond between my father and me - a bond based on shared toilet-humor, and an appreciation for coffee. Adding to the enjoyment of designing this mug was the delightful discovery of numerous design options (uploading and adding a photo to the mug, adding and modifying text, and being able to configure the placement, alignment, and so forth of these elements), that weren't readily apparent on the Urban Dictionary site. It wasn't until I got to the Zazzle site that all of these options became apparent. In short, my father enjoys his gift on a daily basis.

According to my dad, the printing is fine. Also, it looked fine to me when he showed it to me on the webcam.

Was very disappointed to find that on the side of the mug opposite the quote, was the urban dictionary logo - very large (centered it's about 1/2 the size of the side in total). There was no mention of this that I saw and none of the 'previews' showed this either

The text is slightly fuzzy.

I love the fact that I could have what ever I wanted on the mug - to customize to create the gift exactly as I wanted. I also liked the fact that I could choose the color for the inside.
