Congratulations on your 20th Anniversary! That's a big milestone! "Current husband' sounds like there might be some stories there.... heehee. That is wicked cold, Ruth, I hope it warms up a lot - and soon. We got up to 92 last week, but then cooled down again, thankfully. Too early for the roasting heat of summer. Not much happening here - I'm re-working some photos so I won't hate them. lol! Good luck with the art shows - I bet you win! Happy Anniversary!

Just came by for a visit and you've definitely put me in the Christmas mood. Your new designs are beautiful.

Half the snow melted these last 3 days, today with have freezing rain and rain later this afternoon, but I prefer snow to freezing rain. My sons have an ice fishing cabin, I don't think it is going anywhere near the river this year! I am a northern girl, born in Val d'Or, lived everywhere in Northern Quebec and Northern Ontario, my husband was a mining engineer, so I am not used to this kind of silly southern weather, more used to 40F below and lots of white snow. My babies haven't hatched just yet, but they should sometime tonight. I named the mother and father fish "Samantha" and "Darren." (Bewitched, who would've guessed?) Did you see my bellydancer items?

All's not well in the fish department. One of my black angel pair got some wierd fungus and died. Most of the babies didn't make it either. I'm going to fix up a "retreat" in my garden. I'm going to get a little kid's wading pool and put in it a waterlily or two. I'm going to add some containers and have flowers that attract butterflies and hummingbirds. I've got my work cut out for me! My fish (I still have a lot left!) will provide the fertilizer. My flowers LOVE my fish water!

Scotland is on my list too :) i love to travel and have not done much of it at all. Planting cedars, wow !! Where i used to live we actually had some cedar trees, they are so wonderful and the smell is divine!! Are you very far north in Canada?? The one time i went there, it was snowing in September (brrrr). NY was bad enough!! Where i live now, in WA, this particular area stays very mild all winter. We hardly ever wear coats. It's always such a treat when the warm weather hangs on for a while~ and what are the crickets doing up so late :)
