I have been an artist all my life, though too often my art was fitted in between family and an income-producing career as a professor of world religions. Only in the last few years have I been able to work more consistently in the visual arts.
But, sadly, while finishing the inside of my new home with found materials in nature, I lost a finger to a power saw-- and shortly after that, lost my home itself to the financial devastation following a catastrophic wildfire.
The photographic digital mosaics you will find in my store are the result of both my need to create art and to compensate for the lost finger while it healed. Unexpectedly, these digital mosaics have become my medium of choice, as well as commemorating the lost stone mosaics in my home.
The Earth is at the heart of all my art--which is in service to the Earth's healing.
