Ky Baker was born in Phoenix, AZ. in 1975 and raised in Miami, FL. In 1985 he started to draw and skateboard everyday. He is currently residing in San Diego, Ca.

Having spent most of his childhood in Miami, he began to explore the vast Florida Everglades and all it’s inhabitants. Many of his paintings portray the distinctive characteristics of wildlife and unspoiled landscapes. Equipped with the benefits of an enduring resource of wildlife, Ky manages to adapt those key elements and transcend them into his art.

A unique blend of organic based images and textures combined with clean fluid lines and details would best describe the artwork of Ky Baker. Never one to stick to the same medium, Ky’s work consists of acrylic, watercolor, India ink, screen printing, and sculpture.

Currently Ky works as a freelance designer, illustrator, and painter. His footwear design, product design, and skateboard graphics can be seen on several different brands in the action sports industry. His long-term goal is to retire down in the Florida Keys and become a fishing guide.
