About this store
Thanks for visiting. Hope you found me just in time and then have some. What you can see here is what I do with brushes and usually oils. This is not stopping me from dreaming of brave colorful fabrics printed with original abstract paintings as the main theme. The size off all the paintings is such, that they could cover a whole human body. Wrap around in curves over curves. Well maybe not that of the blues brothers but they would not wear such "crazed stuff" any way, or would they? There are a few "real paintings", and let me tell you why I call them that: I had a gallery once and changed from week to week showing abstract the one and academy, real stuff the next. I had these two clients from England. Father and 7 Year old son. Posh if you know what I mean. It was abstract week. Dad was quite impressed and showed real interest. I explained the use of the artworks in fabric pattern and it made even more sense to him. After about 30 minutes the son got a bit twitchy and wanted to know were the "real paintings" were. We cracked up laughing because he had just made such an honest statement. I had heard of comments like "My five year old could do that" but I never bothered to educate them towards the intricacy and use of color in combination with the use of symbols and tongue in cheek details. Either one gets it or one doesn't, no harm done. I live with this since decades now and have a thick skin and only take it off when I'm sure not to waste other peoples time. Thanks for spending time here. Have fun, Kysley.
