I create painted cottage furniture, gifts and paintings. The cottage chic style is fresh and relaxing and should connect to nature, making my designs sprout to life with whimsy and fun. My work can easily be mixed in an eclectic way with traditional and contemporary styles. Cottage is fun and it should welcome you home at the end of your day. I work daily from Laurie Rohner Studio, my home studio and shop, wearing many hats, as a painter, furniture designer and maker, decorative artist, handy gal, gardener and the best dog walker around. My passion is living an engaging creative life and I find my passion in every aspect of my life. It could be when I design and build my pieces of painted cottage chic furniture for my etsy customers or painting a wall a beautiful shade of robins egg blue or even fixing the leak in the faucet. Each piece is hand crafted, hand painted, unique and one of a kind and reflects my great love of the natural world. My work ranges from boxes and mirrors to tables and trunks, basically wherever my imagination goes. If I can imagine it, I can achieve it are words I more or less live by. The joy that comes from following an artistic life with all its ups and downs is a very gratifying life to live.
