TRACY VONGRUBEN'S GRAPHICS PORTFOLIO
Thanks so much for visiting Tracy VonGruben's Graphics Portfolio. The following are examples of the graphic designs I have done in my professional career. With my solid work ethic and digital art skills, I am confident I can meet the challenges of any design project. I like to find new ways to express ideas graphically while staying true to a project’s goals. The wide variety of design responsibilities I've had over the years has taught me a good deal about communication, collaboration, and efficiency. I think my experience and qualifications would be a good addition to any graphics team, but so would my personality. I always maintain a positive work environment, smile profusely, and take pride in my work. Room to grow is essential for me, as I love learning new software, applying new knowledge, and meeting new people. My resume is available upon request.
Please pardon the temporary hosting location while my online portfolio is being built.

| Collegiate Insights Logo -Barbara K. Sams- This client ran an education-based business and needed a logo that was clean, modern, and inspirational. It had to incorporate a collegiate feel with a promising, optimistic look. | Waterfall Ice Bag Design -Vivian of St. Louis, Inc.- The client wanted a cool, refreshing scene for his company's ice bags. He wanted a combination of the company's logo and a cascading waterfall turning into ice cubes. It was challenging to design a 'realistic' scene with limited colors to be printed on a clear surface filled with ice. |

| Bella Casa Logo -Bella Casa Residential Portraiture- Homey yet contemporary, familiar yet creative. That's the feeling the client wanted in her House Portrait Business' logo, accomplished through solid colors and an abstract usage of a recognizable part of a house. | KB Logo -Ken Baur Consulting -- Chesterton, IN- Launching this fall, KB Consulting needed an authoritative logo and print/online ads. The graphic focus is on bringing energy and forward-thinking to the marketing plans of Picture Framing businesses while also looking professional. |
Print Graphics and In-Store Displays
These signs were printed for use at all three locations of Framing Concepts Gallery in Northwest Indiana. The goal was to deliver a specific sales message while maintaining an FCG-branded look.

Framing Concepts Gallery Specials These large-format banners were designed to have multiple uses, either as exterior banners or as window displays. The introduction of these displays was very effective at boosting sales of framing specials and increasing shop visibility.

Framing Concepts Gallery Flyers The galleries needed companion handouts for all of the new framing specials; extra considerations had to be taken for flyer size and ink-usage so the galleries could print the pages themselves.

Web Design

| Phete First Graphics The site this portfolio is temporarily on is my online T-Shirt design business. It's more like a hobby, really. This site is pretty new, and I am constantly adding different designs and products to it. It's been fun following my own graphics standards, and applying new and different techniques in web design. This site recently was featured on Zazzle's Tech Blog as an example of Advanced Store Customization. | Framing Concepts Gallery This website had to be informative, easy to navigate, and professional--and since Framing Concepts is all about high-end picture framing and home decor, the look of this site had to match the quality of the business. I had already established a branding style in our print materials and incorporated those color schemes and layouts. Although I was partially limited in the techniques I could use on this site (I had to make sure that the design was accessible to any employee of FCG regardless of their web knowledge) I enjoyed combining the FCG look with a well functioning website. Recently this site won Decor Magazine's "Top 100 Art & Framing Retailers Website" Award, placing first in the nation. |
![]() | KB Consulting I've recently started doing work with KB Consulting, a framing business consulting company specializing in innovative marketing solutions. I designed the website and all print materials. KB Consulting will provide, among other things, custom web design tailored for picture framers, as well as framing web templates and email marketing...all of which I will be creating. |
