What? Purple Day - An international day for epilepsy awareness.
When? March 26th (Annually!) Why? Epilepsy affects over 65 million people worldwide. It's time to get the facts and spread the word. Why Purple? Purple is the internationally recognized colour for epilepsy. Tell me more... Purple Day was founded in 2008 by nine-year-old Cassidy Megan of Nova Scotia, Canada. Cassidy's goal is to inform people from around the globe about epilepsy. Cassidy also wants people affected by epilepsy to know they are not alone.
