GIFTS FOR OTHERS... OR YOURSELF .

the official Orangutan Foundation International blog at www.ofitoday.com
Read the story and see rare photos of orangutan twins born near Camp Leakey at the blog of Dr. Birute M. Galdikashttp://drbirute.com >

Thank you to Robin creechers's Store at Zazzle for the incredible donation of her Santa art to benefit the orangutan orphans! If you love her special Santa but don't want little Gable in the palm of his hand, head on over to her gallery for the magical Christmas faery original version.
Your merchandise purchases at this gallery support several charities.
100% of my profits on orangutan designs go to Orangutan Foundation International. I also support several major domestic pet charities, World Wildlife Fund, as well as several programs for humans in need.
The Orangutan Foundation Care Center is overflowing with orphaned young ones as well as injured sub-adults, rescued from illegal situations. If you can donate even a couple of dollars, please consider a visit to my wildlife Firstgiving site.
The link below shows s a 1975 National Geographic cover when Dr. Birute Galdikas was a young doctoral student. She is one of the three "Leakey's Angels" (along with Jane Goodall and the late Dian Fossey) who did groundbreaking work. The little orangutan walking in front of her is still alive today and is having babies of her own in the wild!! October 1975 National Geographic magazine cover

See the orphans at the sanctuary:
short video
(I like the little female that steals the hat at the end. )
Thank you so much for visiting! Let me know if there is something you want that is not shown. I have been making handcrafted, photographic cards for many years and am pleased to have Zazzle to reach a wider audience. My gallery's products support good causes while some designs are just light-hearted fun. The good causes matter most to me.
Please note that my photos are copyrighted and my designs are not in the public domain. To use or reproduce any of my work, please contact me for written permission.>
