Perlyyy, it is gorgeous here and i love it, too. Such a magical quality. And, hopefulone, I don't mind the lack of sun in winter so much as i mind the lack of moon in summer. There's just something special about a moonlit summer night and I definitely do miss that. Thanks for the visits and the kind remarks, everyone.

Ah but from what I have heard..
I have a stepsister that lived in Fairbanks for over 10 years, she loved it! She said Alaska is absolutely gorgeous!

see now, i miss the ocean. i love it here in alaska, but i'm in the interior, so no ocean. i visited Clearwater as a child with aunts, uncles, cousins and seeing Geri's images made me wistful. and don't you just love a good thunder storm? yet another thing we don't see much of here in Fairbanks.

I have to interject something here..
I went to Clearwater on a weekend trip and talk about beautiful! They had a thunderstorm over the ocean! We watched it from the balcony of the hotel. Talk about a light show!

But, Stacy, think of all the great winter shots you'll get! (I wish I was in Clearwater, too!) My husband was born in Fairbanks, so we visited a couple of summers ago. Nice in the summer--can't imagine it in the winter. Blessings on your head!

Thanks for your comment on my card. The woman in the photo is my mother-in-law, and the beach has been her vacation spot for at least thirty years. It has great sentimental value for my husband and me. Hope it brought back good memories of your time at Clearwater Beach! By the way, I'm liking your Christmas and Thanksgiving cards!
