StraitJacket T-Shirts

Top Picks

Straitjacket T-Shirts' Annex: When you're crazy enough to let your medication do the talking for you. And one of your sources for official Crazy Meds products.

Here you'll find a line of crappy merchandise with a unique design obviously created by someone whose medications are not quite right. These items will allow you to:
 • share your inner turmoil with strangers

 • help overcome the stigma of being mentally and/or neurologically interesting

 • let the world know how pissed off you are with Big Pharma

 • give your doctor/therapist/nurse practitioner/whoever prescribes your meds something to show your appreciation for how much they've helped you; because the drug companies' pharm reps shouldn't be the only ones giving them stuff

Some of our items are rated PG-13 or R, so you'll need to be logged in with your Zazzle account to see everything.

In case you're wondering: the t-shirts are currently at the main Crazy Meds Merchandise site. They may or may not move here. I just wanted both virtual stores to have the same name.

Our Merchandise
Pumpkinface - thanks! I've found gallows humor to be helpful in staying alive. If you can't laugh at all the stupid things you've done when manic, like buying 50 acres of bushland in Australia to save your marriage (hint: it doesn't work), you're just going to be extra depressed when staring at the ceiling at 3:00 a.m. going over every little thing you've done wrong in your life.

Jen - I'm crazy enough to have warranted a five-day timeout from polite society in the locked ward of my local psych hospital. Schizophrenia killed by brother-in-law. NAMI gets their panties in a bunch over sitcoms and TV commercials, but didn't say a thing when NPR spent months digging for non-existent mental illness in the history of the Fort Hood shooter and kept spreading misinformation about how everyone in the spate of mass killings of children in China was crazy when only one of them was. So you tell me which is more insulting, a mug/shirt/bumper sticker that spells out "Batshit Crazy" in pills that didn't work for me and my girlfriend, or the constant misrepresentation by NPR, CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, etc. etc. that we're all a bunch of mass murderers just waiting to explode? After all, that's why we're "Medicated For Your Protection"

Straitjacket Mugs
As someone recently diagnosed as mentally interesting I'd rather laugh at the crazy than cry over it (oh wait, I'm bipolar I can do both at once). I find the crazymeds website and merchandise both humourous and entertaining and the idea that the mentally ill aren't allowed to have a sense of humour a little insulting and degrading.

Your mugs
I find your mugs very disturbing. If you or anybody else is suffering from a mental illness it is very difficult to imagine these as humorous. The are right up there with insulting and degrading. This is an illness that destroys and kills many. It is a shame what you find funny and entertaining!
