This series is inspired by Patrick, a young talented artist who was taken from this world at a tender age. His family asked Pam to create a series based on his sketches. In the beginning of her inspiration series, she combined her love of science with elements from his sketches. The first paintings where very true to Patrick’s style, he favored traditional cubism with a geometric twist and surreal landscapes.

Since Patrick’s family is very close to Pam, she fell in love with doing these figures but she wanted to pull away and make them less Patrick and more Pam. Pam began by adding impressionistic landscapes and shaping her figures in more sensual poses moving from traditional cubism into something more. She loved Patrick’s ability to create bizarre shapes and surreal landscapes, so she began to experiment there as well, surrounding some of her figures in very futuristic backgrounds with swirls and strange moons.
