Wild Asters Notebook

On a recent hike, I was blown away by the purple brilliance of these wildflowers. They bloom abundantly at the start of autumn in the western North Carolina mountains. Their beautiful purplish hues offer a brilliant foreground to the Blue Ridge Mountains in the background. The sun shone upon these flowers, accenting their color and prompting me to take a photo of them. It is one of my favorite photos that I have taken this season.
