Instant Downloads: How it Works

We are excited to offer Instant Downloads to our customers! — Offering Instant Downloads will help Zazzle customers stay (virtually) connected with their friends and family for all of life's moments. This page is dedicated to provide the Zazzle Creator Community with a little more detail about Instant Downloads and how to participate.

What are Instant Downloads?

Instant Downloads allows Creators to sell their unique content as downloadable files on the Zazzle Marketplace alongside your existing products. When a customer purchases an Instant Download, they will receive a Download License (see our User Agreement) to your content allowing them to edit the template, download the file to their device, share, and print. In addition, every sale of an Instant Download earns the Creator a MINIMUM 5% Royalty on the final sale price.

Instant Downloads: The Customer Experience

Our customer journey begins when they land on your Instant Download-enabled product, either on mobile or desktop. Customers will have the opportunity to purchase the printed product, the Instant Download, or both. We will provide different pricing, description, and imagery based on the option the customer selects. Purchases of printed products will reflect your existing Royalty, while Instant Download purchases will pay a higher Royalty. Once the customer purchases the Instant Download, they will receive a private link to a copy of your design where they can edit the template details as well as download the flat file (.JPG, .PNG, .PDF) to their device to share with loved ones to celebrate their life's moment.

Not ready for Instant Downloads? No Problem!

You can opt out of Instant Downloads by selecting the individual listings in the Products tab of the Store Management Dashboard and select "Disable Instant Downloads" from the dropdown menu.
