If you’re planning a 4th of July BBQ for friends and family, add a personal touch to your firework show by incorporating sparkler kits. Instead of passing around all of the supplies, these individual kits make it easy for your guests to grab, light, and let the sparks fly!
Here’s what you’ll need:

- Sparklers
- Craft Paper
- Custom Sparkler Sticker
- Adhesive-backed Match Paper
- Matches
- Washi Tape
- Scissors
- 1/8” Hole Punch
Here’s how you do it:
1. Cut squares out of the craft paper. They should measure between 3” and 4”.
2. Next, cut small strips of adhesive-backed match paper.
3. Time to assemble! Apply a sticker to a craft paper square on the top right corner.

4. Remove backing and apply a match paper strip under the sticker.
5. With a small piece of washi tape, tape down match to the left of the sticker and match paper.
6. Then, add holes to the top and bottom of the craft paper using a hole puncher.

7. Lastly, insert the bottom of the sparkler into the top and bottom holes. Start by inserting the bottom end into the front of the top hole and then inserting it into the back of the bottom hole.

It should look like a mini sail.
Repeat these steps to make one for each party guest.
These kits look great displayed in a small vase or mason jar for your guests to grab. They are also cute mixed in with a festive place setting. In addition to 4th of July celebrations, these can be easily altered to be wedding sparklers. By changing the text and color of the sticker and adding washi tape that matches your wedding colors, these kits would make a beautiful day-of detail for a lovely send-off.

CAUTION: SPARKLERS EMIT SHOWERS OR SPARKS
Warning when using sparklers:
- To prevent wildfires, do not use sparklers on Red Flag Warning Days
- Children should only use sparklers under close adult supervision
- Light only one sparkler at a time
- Don’t hand a lighted sparkler to another person. Instead, hand an unlit sparkler and then light it
- Stand at least six feet away from others while using sparklers
- Never throw a lit sparkler
- Remain standing while using sparklers, hold them at arm’s length, and never run while holding them
- Don’t hold a child in your arms while using sparklers
- Wear closed-toe shoes to prevent foot burns
- Drop spent sparklers in a bucket of water because they can remain hot long after the flame has gone out
