The founder of our rescue has always had a passion for dogs. A neighbor of hers brought a tiny female pit bull puppy to her and was told to "throw it away when it died". She immediately jumped into action. While her husband tended to the young girl, keeping her warm and showing her love, she ran to town, a 15-minute drive 1 way to get a bottle, replacement milk and anything else she would need to save this sweet girl. A few short years later, the rescue was born. Liberty, the sweet female pittie is still thriving and will forever be our founder's sweet girl. A girl that she could never part with. We work hard to save as many dogs as we can. We are a board of volunteers that work full time jobs outside of the rescue as well as inside the rescue.
