Beautiful Antique Persian Look Pattern ... How did I create this beautiful design? About Thanksgiving Day 2003 the plant where I had worked 30 years (my age 21 to my age 51) was closed when another printing company bought our plant and closed it down to take our work to that companies many other facilities including to Bowling Green Kentucky, Mexico, and Canada. Because we lost work to other countries, we qualified for government retraining under President Barack Obama ... not really knowing how all this would turn out, I took that opportunity to take classes in art. So, at age 51 I went to art classes at Illinois Central College 20904 2005 and graduated top of my class. Summer Semester 2005 I took Painting Class and for one project had to paint a canvas with no idea ahead of time what we would paint. We were to create a painting and allow it to evolve as we painted with no intention ahead of time. I had such a globby mess that I asked myself now what am I going to do next? This was exactly what our teacher wanted to happen. Next thing I knew I had grabbed my palette knife and began scraping in upward strokes. I liked the effect that paint stained canvas showed soft colors. So, I began to scrape more paint away. Then, I grabbed my toothbrush and splattered orange paint on it. The title became Carnival Glass Grass With Orange Mold Fungus. The teacher loved it. He even stole it from my cabinet to show all his other classes. I took a photo of it and put it on computer and did a mirror tile effect on it. Then I put it onto several Zazzle Products ... this is one.
